VLS Bulletin – August 2026 – Case 010236

VLS 010236 – SCT Vertriebs GmbH MANNOL Energy Formula PSA 5W-30 7703 PCEO 5W-30

On 2nd October 2025 the case was accepted by VLS.

The complaint alleged that the Stellantis specification FPW9.55535/03 is being claimed for this product, it is understood that there is currently no proven market general additive technology available that supports this specification claim. The marketer should be approached to provide documented evidence that demonstrates that the chemical, physical, performance and engine test requirements of Stellantis FPW9.55535/03 have been met to support this demanding specification claim.

In response SCT Vertriebs GmbH advised that the Stellantis FPW9.55535/03 claim on the product had been removed. An updated Technical Data Sheet and updated product label was provided. The website description for the product was also updated.

VLS was content to close the investigation subject to a six-month review in line with its stated process.

On 10th August 2026 a six-month review of the case was undertaken in line with VLS’s stated process.

During the review VLS found that SCT Vertriebs GmbH have maintained the removal of the Stellantis claim FPW 9.55535/03 and consequently the product remains in compliance.

VLS is therefore content to close the investigation and the case based on the product being in continued compliance at the six-month stage.
