VLS Risk Matrix
VLS are publishing a risk matrix which demonstrates how the programme categorises different types of cases brought forward for its’ attention.
In the matrix, the technical specification of a lubricant is compared with its’ physical characteristics to determine the level of risk to users of non-compliant products. Examples of risks are given within each cell of the matrix. A traffic light colour coding system is used to illustrate the level of risk involved in the use of non-compliant products.
